James Branda, Counsel
James Branda’s practice consists of whistleblower retaliation law, including Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank, as well as Family Medical Leave Act litigation. He worked as a summer associate for Clifford & Garde, LLC where he focused on complex civil and criminal litigation involving Sarbanes-Oxley retaliation, FMLA violations, and nuclear regulatory law. Mr. Branda also served as a research assistant for L. Michael Seidman, Carmack Waterhouse Professor of Constitutional Law at the Georgetown University Law Center. Articles he worked on have appeared in the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy and the University of Chicago Law Review.
Mr. Branda earned his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and his M.A. in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies from St. Andrews University, Scotland. He also holds a Certificate in Arabic from American University, Beirut. Mr. Branda has resided in Washington, DC for 6 years.
Mr. Branda speaks Spanish, Arabic, and English.
